Dosage
Adults - Dose for risk reduction: 2 tablets per day.
Dose for management of outbreak: 2 tablets, 2 times per day.
Children 6-12 years - Take 1 tablet daily or as professionally prescribed.
Under 6 years - Only as professionally prescribed.
Warnings
· If symptoms persist, see your healthcare professional
· Contains zinc, which may be dangerous if taken in large amounts or for a long period of time
· Consult your healthcare professional before use if you have had renal calculi (kidney stones). Ascorbic acid may increase the risk of recurrence of calcium oxalate calculi
· Always read the label. Use only as directed
Medicine interactions
· Zinc may decrease the absorption and efficacy of some medications. If taking tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics separate doses by at least 2 hours
· Soya bean and calcium may decrease the absorption and efficacy of some medications. If taking thyroid hormone, bisphosphonates (osteoporosis drugs), tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, separate doses by at least 2 hours
· Soya bean may decrease the anticoagulant effect of warfarin. Consult your healthcare professional before use if taking warfarin
