Blackmores Folate 500mcg 90 Tablets

Blackmores Folate 500mcg is a source of folic acid, which if taken daily for one month before conception and during pregnancy, may reduce the risk of women having a child with birth defects of the brain and/or spinal cord, such as spina bifida. Folate is also one of the nutrients necessary for the production of normal red blood cells.

Dosage

Adult - Take 1 tablet daily with main meal, or as professionally prescribed.

Children under 12 years - only as professionally prescribed.

          Do not exceed the stated dose of folic acid

Medicine interactions

·          The efficacy of folic acid supplements may be decreased by co-trimoxazole, sulphasalazine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone and methotrexate
